What is PTSD?
PTSD stands for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, a mental health condition that can develop after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event.
Symptoms may include intrusive memories, avoidance of trauma-related triggers, negative changes in thinking and mood, and heightened arousal or reactivity, and these must last for more than a month and cause significant distress or problems in daily life for a diagnosis
